Am I the only one who thinks Dragon Seed is the most bizarre movie ever made?
ReplyDeletenot at all. whoever decided to cast KH as an Asian must have been high.
DeleteCan't be worse than Victor Mature in The Shanghai Gesture.
Deletei dunno - that's one i haven't seen. i'm guessing you're not recommending it? :)
DeleteI went with Keeper of the Flame because it was wonderfully mysterious and exciting, but it was close with Without Love.

I haaaattted Dragon Seed. It generally annoys me to see white people playing Asians (I'm looking at you excessively lengthy The Good Earth).
Indeed. I need to see Keeper of the Flame again because I enjoyed it, but I don't often think of it. Without Love cracks me up every time, especially that scene when she falls out of bed!
DeleteI must say Woman of the Year because it's my favorite film of her long career. And also because it's the first Kate-Spencer pairing, and their chemistry is amazing, and the movie is very funny (every time I remember the Greek boy I laugh).
ReplyDeleteKisses!
Good choice! That film more than any of the others really crackles with Hepburn/Tracy romance.
